Northmill is a Swedish fintech innovation company, founded in 2006 with the vision of simplifying its customers’ financial life. Northmill develops straightforward and secure banking services using technology and innovation, with offices in Sweden, Finland, and Poland. As of 2018, the company has over 360,000 users and 90 employees.

“Our idea is to provide a wide range of innovative and transparent insurance products in a fast, simple and user-friendly way,” says Chief Customer Officer, Simon Nilsson.

Northmill launched its first insurance product together with Maiden in July 2017 under the brand Credway. It has been highly appreciated by Northmill customers, and Northmill are now expanding their insurance product portfolio offering with a new income protection underwritten by Maiden Life & General, under the brands Easycredit and Credigo.

Maiden and Northmill have built on their shared philosophy to create a simple but effective income protection product that gives the user financial security when it is needed the most. Tailored to meet the financial needs of each individual customer, the product provides a monthly payment to help customers maintain their standard of living if they become unemployed.

“Our insurance products are aligned with our corporate mission to simplify everyone’s financial life. Just as financial products, we believe that insurance products should be easy to understand, relevant, transparent and simple to use. Therefore we’ll use our technology and know-how to build great insurance products both for our current and new users,” says Lars Blomfeldt, Chief Executive Officer at Northmill.

Maiden are looking forward building on this successful partnership with further insurance products for Northmill customers in the near future.
